J.C. Lewis Ford Now Accepting School Supplies to Fill Backpacks for Students and Teachers

SAVANNAH (July 16, 2019) – J.C. Lewis Serves, the philanthropic heart of J.C. Lewis Ford, is proud to drive volunteerism and community service by partnering with local organizations that help strengthen the Savannah area. J.C. Lewis Serves recognizes its partners, Hinesville Downtown Development Authority, Fostering Bulloch Statesboro and People of Action Caring for Kids (P.A.C.K.) Savannah, for their hard work and dedication to education and excellence to students in the Low Country — and is eager to help.

From now until Aug. 31, J.C. Lewis Serves encourages community members to support a back-to-school backpack drive by bringing a donation to any J.C. Lewis Ford Dealership (in Savannah, Statesboro or Hinesville). Donations needed for students that will be accepted include wooden pencils, pencil pouches, pencil sharpeners, pink erasers, pencil top erasers, blunt tip scissors, notebook paper and rulers. Additionally, in order to help teachers with supplies, dealerships are also accepting whiteboard markers, hand sanitizers and disinfecting wipes.

Hinesville Downtown Development Authority, Fostering Bulloch and P.A.C.K. impact nearly 8,000 children in the Savannah, Statesboro and Hinesville area.

“We are grateful to play a part and help collect school supplies for the community,” said Julian Lewis of J.C. Lewis Ford.  “It is truly a team effort.  Georgia Ford Dealers provide the back packs.  We fill them with the help of of generous customers who donate.  And our employees enjoy packing and delivering the book bags to our incredible partners and local students.
