J.C. Lewis Wheels Up

PACK Savannah continues its impact each year, providing resources for those who need food.

According to PACK’s website, “1 in 4 children in South Georgia live in homes where having enough food is a struggle every day. P.A.C.K. is committed to packing and delivering over 10,000 bags a month to children in Chatham county and the surrounding areas.  P.A.C.K. is a 501 c-3 non-profit committed to meeting the basic needs of children in our local community. We are also committed to inspiring the next generation of volunteers! P.A.C.K provides volunteer experiences for people of all ages. From packing food and toiletry bags to making homemade cards, we provide memorable, child and family-friendly serving opportunities! Everyone is welcome!

J.C. Lewis has served alongside PACK in several areas.  Have you seen the J.C. Lewis Serves PACK Van in the streets? The PACK van is driven to schools every day and gives out bags of food.

If you would like to volunteer for PACK you can check out their needs list from their website, https://signup.com/group/1135724014052. PACK is currently collecting things for Performance Initiatives, homeless students and supplies for Foster Children.

PACK has most recently expanded its Foster Children Closet.  It is as if when you enter you have entered a store. We cannot say enough about the thoughtful attention to detail for those who will need resources from the Foster Closet.  Every item is brand-new and has tags from the store. The closets are organized to look like a local boutique.  It gives the children who have most likely been displaced an opportunity to feel loved and important. They are able to select items ranging from clothes to toiletries and accessories.  This addition to the PACK warehouse has exponentially increased the impact for those in need in Savannah.

This Christmas PACK collected new Christmas gifts for over 1500 children in our community. They held a packing event that even Santa himself came to help pack bags, wrap gifts and join the fun.

We are grateful for the small part we play providing the wheels for PACK!
