J.C. Lewis Serves Announces Last Donation Drive Before Truck Giveaway

J.C. Lewis Serves has selected Magdalene House a local shelter for Women with Children as its final beneficiary of its year-long donation collection drive.  Throughout the year J.C. Lewis Serves has collected school supplies for PACK, Library Books for Savannah Chatham Public Schools, Water Bottles for CURE Childhood Cancer, Athletic Apparel for Performance Initiatives and Gift Cards for our Local Coast Guard, and now Magdalene House: Shelter for Women with Children.

Magdalene House is a division of Union Mission. Union Mission works to create a caring and compassionate environment where individuals can thrive and lives can be rebuilt. Family comes first – even when you’re homeless. Women and children are the fastest growing population of homeless in America. Union Mission provides emergency shelter to women with children through The Magdalene Project. During the 90-day shelter stay, clients receive supportive services that help put them on the road to self-sufficiency.

From now until Friday March 22, 2019, J.C. Lewis Serves encourages community members to support Magdalene House by donating basic hygiene items to any J.C. Lewis Ford Dealership (in Savannah, Statesboro or Hinesville). Donations needed include soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, combs, deodorant, lotions. J.C. Lewis Serves will register any community member who donates 5 items into a drawing for a new Ford truck which will be drawn on Saturday March 23 at J.C. Lewis Ford Savannah.
